  14. The unregistered version of Fantasm V4.01 (PowerFantasm) is now available
  15. for immediate download from AMUG ftp site (probably still in the incoming
  16. directory) - other sites as time permits.
  17.  
  18. This version fixes a major problem the original V4.00 release had with
  19. certain Macintosh hardware configurations.
  20.  
  21. For your information, the culprit was the environment collator in both
  22. Eddie and Fantasm throwing all it's toys out of the cot if confronted by
  23. anything that didn't look (even remotely) like any of our test machines!
  24. (We need more test machines obviously...).

  26. Whilst we were frustrated to find a bug in software that has been in
  27. testing for the last 4 months, we realise that some things are out of our
  28. control. We hope that our open attitude to this problem is not seen in a
  29. bad light. If you downloaded V4.00 and found it crashed immediately, we
  30. would urge you to give it a second chance and try V4.01.
